Some of my most memorable calls:

  • The Felix Hernandez perfect game
  • The Cal Raleigh clincher, September 30, 2022, ending the Mariners’ 21-year playoff drought
  • 1998 Atlantic 10 Tournament Championship game in Philly; Rhode Island versus Temple: Lamar Odom, off an inbound pass, hit a huge deep left side jumper to beat Temple
  • Seattle’s combined no-hitter against the Dodgers June 8, 2012, in a 1-0 win:
    Kevin Millwood - 6 innings
    Charlie Furbush - ⅔ inning
    Lucas Luetge - ⅓ inning
    Brandon League - ⅔ inning
    Tom Wilhelmsen - 1 inning
  • Phillip Humber’s perfect game for the White Sox against the Mariners. I was on the National call for Fox. April 21, 2012
  • The Mariners’ fifth no-hitter, August 12, 2015, Hisashi Iwakuma versus Baltimore
  • George Mason’s upset of UCONN in the 2006 NCAA East Regional Final
  • Any Eagles games I called for Westwood!
  • The 2009 NFC Championship “Coin Toss” game that sent the New Orleans Saints to its first Super Bowl
  • The AFC Championship game when the Steelers beat the Jets, January 3, 2011
  • The AFC Championship when the Patriots defeated Baltimore, January 20, 2013
  • Late in the 2016 season in Seattle, Nelson Cruz’ three run homer tied the A’s 7-7. in the seventh, though the Mariners went on to lose, ending their playoff hopes
  • Mitch Haniger’s two-run single in game 161, October 2, 2021, kept the Mariners’ playoff dream alive until it was dashed the next afternoon in the final regular season game
  • The inaugural HBCU Swingman Classic, All Star Week in Seattle, July 2023. Being around that much blackness in baseball at one time and in one space was exciting! To see that kind of interest was exhilarating.
